Sextortion on School Chromebook

Some who may have been actual kids but some who 100% seemed like adults posing as kids and attempting sextortion. They were trying to get my son to send them nude pics which I’m so grateful he would not do. But they did get him to buy and send them apple gift cards and other things. We’ve had some long talks about this since. He is just too generous with the money he makes from working and these people online would tell him things to appeal to his emotions and get him to send money, etc. The only way he was able to talk to these people was on the Chromebook, while at school! We’ve had many other issues with Chromebooks but also, kids don’t seem to do any actual writing on paper or much work these days that’s not online. And with AI, it’s getting scary what you can find/create online and it’s hard for us parents to even understand what we’re up against.
