“My son has struggled to manage his online behavior when his school went online due to the pandemic. He would constantly leave the class and go "offroading". At some point, he googled "balls" and a slew of porn sites came up... And he clicked and followed. He was on a Chromebook that I'd purchased but didn't know enough about online safety to have installed a Gryphon. I had already enabled Safe Search. It didn't work. He is much older now and still struggles to stay on task and not play games while online in class or doing homework. I was a teacher for 20+years a I despise what in school use of tech is doing to our kids. In my last year of teaching, I did all I could to limit my use to the minimum mandated by the district.”
